Personalised and special number plates in Cape Town
A personalised plate puts your own word or name on the vehicle, and a special number lets you choose a particular number in the normal format. Either way it is an application to the provincial licensing authority, and we handle it from checking availability to the plates going on.

What to have ready
Applying for a personalised number plate combination or a special number on a vehicle registered in your name, through the provincial licensing authority.
- Certified copy of your ID
- Proof of address dated within the last 3 months
- Vehicle registration certificate
- Your chosen combination, plus two or three alternatives
- Completed personalised licence number application form
