BRNC applications in Cape Town
Before a company, close corporation or trust can register vehicles in its own name, it needs a Business Registration Number Certificate (BRNC) from the licensing department. It is a one-off step, and it has to be done before the first vehicle is registered to the business.
When you need this
- Your business is buying its first vehicle
- You want to move vehicles out of a personal name and into the company
- A fleet or dealership needs vehicles registered in the business name
How it works
- 01
Send the company documents
CIPC papers, the proxy’s ID and a proof of business address. The checklist below shows exactly what.
- 02
We lodge the application
We submit it at the licensing department and follow it up.
- 03
Your BRN is issued
Vehicles can then be registered in the business name, and we can do those next.
