Change of ownership in Cape Town
When a vehicle is sold, the seller has to notify the licensing department and the buyer has to register it in their own name. Miss either step and the old owner can stay liable for fines and licence fees. We handle the paperwork for one side or both.
When you need this
- You have bought a vehicle privately and need it in your name
- You have sold a vehicle and want to stop being liable for it
- A vehicle is moving after an inheritance, or between a person and a company
How it works
- 01
Send both sides’ documents
ID copies, proof of address, the signed NCO and the registration certificate, on WhatsApp or email.
- 02
We sort the roadworthy
A change of ownership needs a roadworthy certificate from the last 60 days. We can book the test.
- 03
We register it in the new name
We lodge the forms and let you know as soon as the new registration is through.
